(Michael Kors jacket- similar, Old Navy Sweater, scarf from Gap- similar, H&M corduroy pants- similarNine & Co. boots- similar, Steve Madden bag- similar, Michael Kors rose gold watch, gifted ring, Express bracelet, other random and
thrifted jewelry)

So, here are the first of my many adventures during my time in Pennsylvania. On Saturday, my mom and I explored the downtown area of Lancaster. I must say that I loved it! It was very artsy, with lots of great things to do and shops to see. The first thing on our list was to check out the Central Market. Apparently it's the country's oldest farmer's market. I loved the busyness inside and seeing the locals who shopped there. It reminded me a bit of Reading Terminal in Philly, but it definitely was not as big. My mom got me some loose chai tea that I am very excited about trying! Of course I had to grab a mean cup of coffee on the way out too. While we walked around the city, we checked out this one place called Building Character. It was a huge warehouse full of different vendors. Lots of creative things inside and even great vintage stuff. I never would have thought Lancaster would have such awesome places. Ah, so much more to share with you still!

And... look what we had to end our afternoon! We found this amazing little crepe place, Rachel's Cafe & Creperie. It was as if I was back in Paris. The last photo is the crepe my mom had, a fruit cheesecake one. I, of course, stuck with the classic nutella and banana. I will definitely be going back to this place!

SHOPAHOLIC PROBLEMS

I just got back from a three day getaway to the Lancaster, Pennsylvania area. My mom wanted to take me away for the weekend as a graduation/birthday gift. And, I definitely needed to get away and take a "timeout" from life. It was perfect, and I loved everything we did.. including major thrift/vintage shopping and antique hunting as you can see. I am a bit overwhelmed with how much I bought, but I found lots and lots of goodies at amazing prices. SO HAPPY! It was great, and I cannot wait to share everything I did with you all. Currently, my laptop is uploading the many photos.. Be prepared to hear about my
adventures all week.

ANTIQUES N' THINGS

Finally got a chance to go antique hunting at this place in Lucketts, Virginia. It was amazing! My mom and I made a quick trip over there, and I was wishing we would have had more time. So much inspiration and great creative ideas everywhere! They even had a floor of vintage clothing and accessories!! I was dying. Cannot wait to go back. I snapped a lot of other photos, which will be showing up on the blog at some point (including some Christmas inspiration!).

Have a great Sunday!

GIRLS NIGHT OUT

(vintage silk button up (similar), Dolce Vita military green jacket, Michael Kors riding leggings (similar), vintage boots, Michael Kors rose gold watch, vintage red bag, other random and thrifted jewelry)

Last night, my mom and I had such a great time in Frederick for their Girls Night Out! First, we started off with a delicious dinner at a Pizza & Pretzel Creations. They use pretzel dough for their pizza, and it's so yummy!! We got little bracelets for our "entrance" into the shops, after donating $10 to the Heartly House. They are an organization that provides care for residents of Frederick who have experienced any type of abuse. I was happy to help support such a great cause!

I bought my first pair of Toms at Velvet Lounge, and I must say that I am pretty excited. We enjoyed being driven, by limo, to different shops downtown. Each store had cocktails and refreshments while women shopped their hearts out. Veggie Annie, a local caterer, was serving shots of vodka with her homemade tomato soup in one store. How different, right!? See her facebook page here for to find out more about what she does. I told her she needs to start a blog for sure!

I FINALLY was able to shop a vintage store down there that I have been dying to see. Every other time I have attempted to go in there, it's been closed. It was amazing! My mom was having fun seeing things that she used to wear that I wold totally wear today. She had to show me a paisley shirt that my dad used to rock back in the day. If only he tried rocking that again.. haha. All the stores were so great and filled with inspiration everywhere. It was a fabulous night spent escaping my homework and enjoying time with my mom.
