LANCASTER CONTINUED

Here are some random photos from my trip to Pennsylvania. Snapshots of downtown Lancaster, details of our room at the B&B, and some from the antique stores we browsed.

I had an amazing birthday this past weekend spent with family and friends. I'm truly thankful for the way God has blessed my life in the past year, and I am excited to see what life holds for me next. Thank you to all of those who wished me a Happy Birthday!

A B&B, SUNSHINE, AND CECIL

(3.1 Philip Lim top, Old Navy pants, G by Guess oxfords, gifted striped ring, bracelet from Etsy, other thrifted jewelry)

Here are some photos taken outside of the Amethyst Inn. It was a very sunny morning, hence my squinty eyes. Also, can you tell my mom was being a bit creative? Pretty soon she will be a pro photographer.. haha. As I said before, I loved this little B&B! Oh, and the owner's shaggy dog Cecil. He was one of the biggest dogs I have ever seen, but look at how cute he is! Of course my mom was crazy about him. I'm just waiting for her to get me a dog. But, a little puppy that never grows! Maybe one will appear on my birthday that is this Sunday (wishful thinking). We spent our day mapping out the best antique malls and thrift stores in the Lancaster area. It was a great time, as you can see here.

A DIFFERENT KIND OF STAY

(BCBG cardigan- similar, Old Navy top, Charlotte Russe black jeans, Nine West boots- similar, Michael Kors watch, necklace from Rugged Warehouse, gifted striped ring, other random jewelry)

During our second night in PA, we opted for a bed and breakfast. The Amethyst Inn to be exact. It was my first time ever staying in a B&B, and I must say I am officially hooked! So perfect. As you can see, the owners did an amazing job at decorating the house. They had little treats waiting for us and hot drinks whenever we wanted. Of course I chose coffee.. Green Mountain coffee. Yum! It was so relaxing to just sit by the fireplace with my cup of joe. The bed and breakfast was located right outside of Lancaster, in Adamstown.. Antique Capital, USA!! I was in heaven. Wait til you see even more photos come up on the blog!

P.S. - Here are some snapshots of the DELICIOUS breakfast we enjoyed in the morning. Broiled grapefruit, croissants, cinnamon rolls, granola cereal, and this brie cheese/veggie casserole. The owner was a great host, server, and even jokester.. ha. Thank goodness we did not have a boring host. I really enjoyed my time there, and I was even a little sad when we left.

CORK FACTORY + DINNER OUTFIT

(H&M kimona, sequence top from Nordstrom, velvet leggings from random boutique- similar, random gold oxfords from Rugged Warehouse- similar, Michael Kors watch, gifted bangle, other thrifted jewelry)

For the first night of our stay in Pennsylvania, my mom and I chose the Cork Factory Hotel in Lancaster. It was very urban, with brick walls all throughout the inside. I wish I would have snapped some more pictures. It was very cozy and had lots of artistic things going on. This is the outfit I wore out to dinner. We went to Annie Bailey's Irish Pub in downtown Lancaster, and it was amazing. Shepherds pie, fish n' chips, ice cold Guinness.. what is not to love? Irish food never lets me down.. ever.

So, here are the first of my many adventures during my time in Pennsylvania. On Saturday, my mom and I explored the downtown area of Lancaster. I must say that I loved it! It was very artsy, with lots of great things to do and shops to see. The first thing on our list was to check out the Central Market. Apparently it's the country's oldest farmer's market. I loved the busyness inside and seeing the locals who shopped there. It reminded me a bit of Reading Terminal in Philly, but it definitely was not as big. My mom got me some loose chai tea that I am very excited about trying! Of course I had to grab a mean cup of coffee on the way out too. While we walked around the city, we checked out this one place called Building Character. It was a huge warehouse full of different vendors. Lots of creative things inside and even great vintage stuff. I never would have thought Lancaster would have such awesome places. Ah, so much more to share with you still!

And... look what we had to end our afternoon! We found this amazing little crepe place, Rachel's Cafe & Creperie. It was as if I was back in Paris. The last photo is the crepe my mom had, a fruit cheesecake one. I, of course, stuck with the classic nutella and banana. I will definitely be going back to this place!
