POLKA DOTS IN THE FALL

(vintage sweater, thrifted tank, H&M corduroys - similar, Nine West boots - similar, JewelMint rose gold ring, other gifted ring, random bracelets)

Weekend, you have been good to me so far. It's consisted of a little bit of productivity and a little bit of play time. I also received a life lesson from the woman at my nail salon tonight. She told me that life flies by, so make sure to enjoy it now. She is an older lady with three grown daughters, so my ears are always open to listen to whatever she has to say. And, I know she is right. I have been thinking more and more about the things I want to accomplish while still in my 20s. We all have heard of a '30 before 30' list, but maybe I should make a '25 before 25' list?

WEEKEND COMPANY

(top from TJ Maxx, thrifted skirt, H&M flats, vintage bag, Steve Madden sunglasses, JewelMint rose gold ring, other gifted ring)

I loved having Brianna here for a short visit this weekend. We enjoyed a little bit of NYFW on Friday night and spent our Saturday relaxing in my neighborhood. Warning: these type of posts might pop up every time I have visitors. Bay Ridge is just too pretty to not show off.

While everyone has been going crazy with fashion week, I have been in Brooklyn having a quiet and restful weekend. After a long week, there is nothing else I would rather be doing. Monday morning, I do not look forward to you.

SPOTTED ON BURNT ORANGE

(dress from TJ Maxx, vintage bag, H&M flats, vintage and gifted rings)

Exhaustion does not even begin to describe how I am feeling right now (as stated on my Twitter earlier). Weekend number two of moving is now almost over, and I have never felt more drained in my life. My parents came up, and we ventured all over to get everything I needed to make the new apartment my home. Even though this weekend took all energy away from me, I am excited that it's coming together. I finally have my bed back in my life, after sleeping on a futon for five months. You can guess how happy I am. Now, it's time to figure out how all my clothes and shoes are gonna fit in my new room (and yes, I still don't have enough room after choosing to live in Brooklyn for the bigger space).

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend!

SUMMERTIME IN MY FAVORITE DRESS

(vintage dress, H&M flats, Steve Madden bag, all gifted rings, thrifted bracelets)

Finally an update for you all. After a successful weekend packing up everything back home in Maryland, I am ready to get this move taken care of. I can barely hold in my excitement! Please hurry up, Saturday.

It was one of those mornings where I grabbed something easy to throw on during this horribly hot weather. (On a side note: I legit almost passed out last week on the subway. New York, you are not my fan during the summer!) This dress is always a great option, and it happens to be one of my favorite vintage finds ever. An intern in my office told me I belonged in a Fresh Prince of Bel Air episode, and I couldn't help but agree. Watch out, Will Smith!

RIPPED BLUE JEANS

(vintage jeans, H&M top, thrifted bag, Madden Girl sandals, random sunglasses, all thrifted jewelry)

I am back home in Maryland (yes, again) for the holiday weekend. Today was spent running some errands and enjoying a little time downtown Frederick. The weather has decided to become incredibly gross all of the sudden. It's super humid and 90 degrees here. Not very fun weather for being outdoors. On a brighter note, lots of celebrations are happening this weekend. Tonight is my Marcy's 21st birthday party and tomorrow I will be attending a friend's wedding. Oh, and Zachary is here with me this weekend! Definitely am one happy girl.

Have a great Memorial Day weekend!

BLUE TINT

(LC Lauren Conrad top, pants from Forever 21, Simply Vera wedges, Michael Kors watch, white vintage ring, other ring from random boutique)

So here is how this photo taking session went: I told my mom to turn the flash off after noticing it was on during the first few shots. She, of course, does not know much of anything about Cameron (my Canon) and asks which setting. I clearly tell her, but of course she chooses the wrong setting. Not until after all the photos were taken do I realize this weird (maybe cool?) coloring was the effect. And, there was not much I could do at that point to change any of it (we were already running late for church). However, I am very thankful for her willingness to take my photos when I'm home even though she lacks some photography knowledge.

My absence from posting the past few days has been a result of a busy week. This busyness will be continuing for this entire month, unfortunately. Trying to prepare myself for it all. On a brighter note, my weekend was spent at home in Maryland. It has been a few weeks since I was last there, so it felt nice to be back. Spent my Saturday meeting with some people for an exciting upcoming event (I will share with you soon), getting my hair done, and going to Marymount's Portfoilio in Motion. It was my first year attending as alumni. And, yes it felt pretty weird. Before jumping on the bus back to the city today, I enjoyed a Mother's Day brunch at Dutch's Daughter. Always so delicious!

Well, here's to being back to the grind and starting another work week. Mondays always come way too fast! Looking forward to a big cup of coffee in the morning.
