Today my neighborhood in Brooklyn held their Third Avenue Festival. My roommate and I went to check it out and ended up walking the whole 20 blocks of festivities. Thank you to whoever posted the sign in our apartment building about it! There were sidewalk sales, live music, and lots of good food. It was a great little addition to my relaxing (and sort of lazy) weekend.

WEEKEND COMPANY

(top from TJ Maxx, thrifted skirt, H&M flats, vintage bag, Steve Madden sunglasses, JewelMint rose gold ring, other gifted ring)
I loved having Brianna here for a short visit this weekend. We enjoyed a little bit of NYFW on Friday night and spent our Saturday relaxing in my neighborhood. Warning: these type of posts might pop up every time I have visitors. Bay Ridge is just too pretty to not show off.
While everyone has been going crazy with fashion week, I have been in Brooklyn having a quiet and restful weekend. After a long week, there is nothing else I would rather be doing. Monday morning, I do not look forward to you.

WALK THROUGH THE NIGHT
Well, it has been a pretty successful Saturday. Can't wait to share with you all the progress I have made in my apartment! To end the day, my mom and I took a walk down to the water. The weather was perfect too. Just the right amount of cool breezes. I seriously cannot get enough of these views in my neighborhood. You all are probably sick of seeing them pop up so much on the blog, so I promise I will try to limit it. Key word: try.
Hope you all are enjoying your weekend!

A TASTE OF THE BEACH

(American Apparel shirt, thrifted skirt, sandals from Payless, Steve Madden bag, random sunglasses, bracelet from SoHo vendor, JewelMint rose gold ring, other gifted jewelry)
It's been a great weekend. Here's a look at my day yesterday. Zachary and I ventured out to Coney Island after spending our Friday just relaxing. It was my first time there, and I must say I was pretty excited to get a little taste of the beach. A part of me wishes that I had packed a bathing suit and towel so I could just lay there all day. You will probably not believe me when I say that I have not been to the beach (or laid in the sun) all summer. My lack of tan might give it away. Our day also included a trip to the New York Aquarium, which is right along the boardwalk there. We saw tons of different fish, watched a sea lion show, and even got to see some sharks up close and personal. You can check out some of my snapshots on Instagram. I must admit that I was probably more scared of seeing the sharks than the million little kids around me were.
Hope you all enjoyed your weekend! Here's to relaxing for the rest of the night before another work week begins.
