FLARES FOR THE DAY

(jacket from Wet Seal, Trouvé white tshirt, Ali & Kris kimona, Jessica Simpson jeans, bag from local consignment store, gifted rings)

So glad to finally have the weekend here, after an incredibly busy week. I'm currently listening to Taylor Swift's new album (don't judge), and I am thinking a french press of coffee should happen in the near future. These photos were taken the other day when I decided to break out some flares for the day. I surprise myself every time I put a pair on and love them. I especially love a good black pair!

Well, here's to a good (and hopefully productive) Saturday!

Stumbled across this street in State College this past weekend. Isn't the colorful artwork awesome?

Farther than airplanes
Higher than rockets
And more powerful than
superman

VICTORIAN BELLEFONTE

(H&M leggings, Trouve button-up- similar, leather jacket from Wet Seal, Danielle Nicole bag, G by Guess oxfords, vintage cameo ring, other ring from randon boutique)

Yesterday, my Sunday was spent in the small town of Bellefonte, PA. As you can see, the park here was just gorgeous. The day could not have been better. The sun was shining, and I had a really great person by my side. Grabbed some breakfast at a super cute coffee place right in town (called Cool Beans) and even discovered an amazing antique mall. Of course I couldn't resist getting some jewelry there. Antique mall jewelry could possibly be my number one weakness. Actually, anything vintage for that matter. There were loads and loads of vintage clothes, but not much time for me to search through them. And yes, I am already thinking of when I will return to see what goodies I can find.

CITY WANDERER

(Trouvé top- similar, New York & Company pants, vintage bag, TOMS shoes, Michael Kors watch, necklace from Rugged Wearhouse, other thrifted jewelry)

Work has had me running around the city getting prepared for a big project that is taking place tomorrow, and my pair of TOMS has made me one happy girl. Thank goodness for their amazing comfort. It always seems like once I put them on, I want to wear them for an entire week straight. And, that is usually what ends up happening. Dying for some spring ones like these or even these.

Check out the flowers that have bloomed! Today's weather was not that great, as you can see. The sun didn't even make an appearance. Pretty sure it rained sometime in the morning before I left for work. I always love when that happens because in my opinion, rain ruins everything. This church is located right down the block from my office. I admire its beauty every day, and especially now that is has pretty flowers by it. Too bad there was no sunshine to make the photos brighter/better. I will just have to snap some more shots of it when
the weather is nicer!

SNAKESKIN + VELVET

(Trouvé shirt- similar, kimono from Rugged Wearhouse, Nasty Gal velvet pants, G by Guess oxfords, Steve Madden bag- similar, all vintage and thrifted jewelry)

I feel like my days here in New York have already flown by, but then again it hasn't even been two weeks since I moved! All I know is that "real life" is settng in. Having a Monday through Friday job with my own desk, apartment searching in the city, planning to tackle student loans soon, and calling my parents to catch up.. this is just craziness. The only thing I hope is that I find happiness with my new life here. Just need to trust and believe.

P.S. - Thank you, Mom, for my two Groupon gifts you have gotten me this week! One to go enjoy good Irish food and beer, and another for a month of yoga at the place right next to my office. Must say I am one happy girl and thankful to have the best mom ever.

HOMETOWN FAVORITE

(Trouvé chambray shirt- similar, jacket from Wet Seal, DKNY leggings, INC International booties from Macy's, vintage Timex watch, gifted rings, other random and thrifted jewelry)

Today has been a comfortable and relaxing Tuesday afternoon. I am spending it at a local coffee shop that is located in an old church, as you can see. Probably one of my favorite places in my hometown. I am a lover of their spiced chai. Today I opted for a frozen one because of the warm weather we have been given. Why does it already feel like spring? To be completely honest, I am still waiting for a snow blizzard. Not so sure if I am quite ready to say goodbye to my winter wardrobe.

On a brighter note, only one week until I am in the great city of New York! So excited for all the fun fashion week will bring and to catch up with friends. Woo hoo!
