GREY SCALE LEOPARD

(vintage blouse- similar, pants from Gap, Simply Vera by Vera Wang wedges, vintage Coach bag, nacklace from Nordstrom Rack, gifted rings, thrifted bracelets)

Hey, guess what? It's finally a post from where I actually live.. New York City. Photos from my weekends spent outside the city have overtaken my blog, but I promise that my city of residence will be showing up more.

Can't wait to get on the bus to head back to Maryland tonight. Praying the ride flies by!

HOUNDSTOOTH

(thrifted top, H&M leggings, Simply Vera wedges- similar, vintage Coach purse, necklace from JCPenny, Michael Kors watch, vintage cameo ring, other thrifted rings)

What a Monday! The morning started off a little rough. If you follow me on Twitter, you probably know what I am talking about. Some mornings are just bound to not go well, and that is what I experienced today! However, there were some enjoyable parts of this Monday. I got to see my good friend Denys in the city for a quick visit. He was here for the day with his mom celebrating his birthday, and I spent my lunch break meeting up with them at Times Square (the place I avoid as a new New Yorker). I made an exception for him though. Seeing him made me miss home a little bit more. It's crazy to think about growing up and how things can change so quickly. Oh, and today was the first day my toes made an appearance this year. The weather is getting so warm! If only all my spring/summer shoes weren't back in Maryland..

Hoping your Monday was better than mine!

BUSY STREETS

(H&M dress, Simply Vera tights- similar, vintage Laredo boots, vintage Coach bag, thrifted ring, Steve Madden sunglasses- similar)

Everyone was going crazy over the super nice weather today. Union Square was packed with people enjoying the sunshine during lunch. There were even some of those who thought it was already summer with their flip flops and tank tops. Definitely wouldn't take it that far. It's only March 8th, people. Spring will be here soon enough!

I'm so excited for the weekend. Those words will be coming out more and more now that I have a "normal" job. I will soon learn to treasure the weekends, never wanting them to end. On that note.. Happy (almost) Friday!

PINK ROCKS THE RUNWAY

(wearing: vintage dress, vintage Coach satchel (similar), Diba leapord heels (similar), Michael Kors rose gold watch, gifted ring, other random and thrifted jewelry)

I had the awesome opportunity to attend Pink Rocks the Runway, hosted by Pink Jams, on Friday night. The fashion show is held every year in support of breast cancer awareness. This year's special guest was the amazing Christian Siriano. Here are some pictures I snapped during the reception and after the show. It was an amazing night, and I got to spend it all with my best friend Marcy. We enjoyed mingling, meeting new friends, and lusting after all of the looks shown on the runway. More pictures to come from the gowns designed by local DC designers and Christian's Spring 2012 Collection!!

NEW YORK FASHION WEEK

(Lulu floppy hat from Nordstrom, thrifted cutout top, Forever 21 bell bottom jeans, Charlotte Russe heels, vintage Coach bag, Michael Kors rose gold watch, other random and thrifted jewelry)

First of many New York Fashion Week posts. This one, however, is my only outfit post. I had such a great weekend in the city being around all the fashionable people at Lincoln Center. So excited to edit and show you all my shots! Now, I just gotta find the time between classes and work.

What have been your favorite shows of NYFW so far?
