REFINERY 29 X NYFW

 

I had the awesome opportunity to attend the Refinery 29 exclusive NYFW kickoff party last Thursday and mingle with some of fashion's best. Unfortunately, my camera did not do me well with getting good photos for you all. So thank you, Belvedere! Belvedere Vodka was the proud sponsor. They came up with three creative drinks for Refinery: The East Side Cocktail, Strawberry Pepper Fix, and Blackberry Collins. I tried both the Strawberry Pepper Fix and the Blackberry Collins. They were delicious! Solange Knowles was spinning discs as the DJ, and I was proud to be surrounded by many fashionable people. REFINERY 29 X SMU HOLIDAY PARTY

Here are some of my shots from the Refinery 29 and South Moon Under "Let's Holiday" party last night. My friend Carrie joined me, and we enjoyed a night of mingling and shopping. I loved her hot pink tights and headband! The forgetful person I have become left the shoes I originally planned for this outfit at home in MD. Carrie was kind enough to let me raid her closet for a pair of flats. Thanks for saving the day! ;) During the event, my manager sent me on a shopping spree as a thank you for the work I have done interning for them. I ended up with a Free People top and new black sparkly Toms. It made my day and was so very nice of her. Thank you, Taylor and South Moon Under! Cannot believe this semester has already flown by, and it's 

almost Christmas!!

Oh, and yesterday was my last day as an undergrad. I now have my BA in Fashion Merchandising! :)

REFINERY 29 X MADEWELL

Refinery 29 has finally made it to DC!! Last night was the launch party at Madewell in Georgetown. I spent it with my fabulous friend, Carrie, of Plums in the Icebox.  She introduced me to Tania of What Would a Nerd Wear and Lauren of My Closet in Sketches. I am already addicted to their blogs. You have to check them out! It was a great time of shopping and meeting new people. They even had a fun photo booth set up and we couldn't pass up getting ours taken! I, of course, was lusting after the Alexa Chung for Madewell collection. Instead, I picked up something from the sale rack. Gotta remember those bills that need to be paid! Drinks were being served and a DJ was playing. It was a great night.

So.. here is an official welcome to DC, Refinery 29! xoxo

Happy Friday! After my one class today, it's officially my "fall break." Too bad my university is only giving me two days off and not the entire week. How lame, right?
