TODAY'S DETAILS

Decided to share with you all some little details of today's outfit. I apologize for the lack of posting lately, but life has gotten a bit out of control. After tomorrow, it's either going to get busier or take a different turn. I am excited for where life will lead me soon, even though I am not sure exactly what it's going to be. Whatever happens, happens. Just need to trust and believe that everything will work out.  That's all I can do, right?

PINK + GLITTER

Wanted to show off today's nails to you all. Love adding a little bit of glitter, especially with this pretty hot pink. Perfect for the beginning of spring. On that note, Happy First Day of Spring!

Preparing myself for a busy rest of the week, including THE HUNGER GAMES Thursday night! Well, Friday morning to be exact. Yes, that is right, I will be at the midnight showing! Could not be more excited. I am almost finished the second book, and I will be on to the third. Usually am not one to follow crowds and go crazy with popular things like this (and Twilight), but I must say that The Hunger Games has me hooked. Who else is excited?

P.S. - I love how this post turned into some nail inspiration to confessing my Hunger Games addiction.

FRIDAY NAILS

Happy Friday! After my one class today, it's officially my "fall break." Too bad my university is only giving me two days off and not the entire week. How lame, right?

d.i.y marble nails

So much has been going on with new ideas for manicures lately, and I thought I would try something different. Despite the long process of these marbled nails, the finished product is quite interesting! So excited that they actually turned out, and I cannot wait to play around with more colors for spring! The idea has been inspired by Topshop's S/S11 line that is filled with colorful printed dresses. Check out the brand's beauty launch party here.

And, do it yourself:

1. Take a bowl of water and drip in 2 or 3 different shades of nail polish.

2. Using a toothpick, swirl the colors around until they’re mixed.

3. Then, dip you fingertip into the mixture quickly, and then pull it away.

4. Using a cotton ball, carefully remove the polish around the nail (this takes a while, and is helpful if you wrap the toothpick in a nailpolish-soaked cottonball to get the edges).

5. C'est fini!
